Spontaneity is one of the hardest qualities to fake in design, and one of the most valuable to achieve. Fun Scribble Arabic doesn't fake it.
A rough, sketchy, deliberately irregular Arabic handwriting font, Fun Scribble Arabic brings the same raw, unfiltered creative energy of its Latin counterpart into the Arabic script. The result is a typeface that feels genuinely free, expressive, and unlike anything in the conventional world of Arabic typography.
For designers working on creative projects that need Arabic lettering to feel alive, personal, and completely uninhibited, Fun Scribble Arabic provides a refreshing alternative.
Scribbling in Arabic: A Different Kind of Freedom
Arabic script has its own relationship with spontaneous and informal writing. From quick notes to expressive everyday handwriting, Arabic in its natural state often possesses a looseness and energy that more formal calligraphic traditions intentionally refine.
Fun Scribble Arabic embraces that spontaneity. Instead of drawing inspiration from formal calligraphy or geometric precision, it celebrates the roughness, irregularity, and expressive qualities of everyday writing.
The result is a highly distinctive display font that occupies a unique space within Arabic type design. While many Arabic display fonts emphasize structure, symmetry, or historical tradition, Fun Scribble Arabic draws inspiration from doodles, quick sketches, notebook margins, and spontaneous creative marks.

Inspired by the Doodle in the Margin
Fun Scribble Arabic takes its creative direction from quick sketches, spontaneous notes, and hand-drawn visual expression. These are the marks created when ideas move faster than perfection.
In Arabic, this energy creates a particularly compelling visual effect. Because Arabic is a connected writing system, rapid handwritten movement naturally generates expressive rhythms and organic visual flow.
The design captures these qualities through:
- Rough and uneven strokes.
- Irregular letterforms
- Organic handwritten flow.
- Deliberately sketch-like visual texture.
The intentional roughness is not a limitation. It is the core design philosophy that gives the typeface its authenticity and creative personality.
Design Characteristics: Rough, Irregular, and Intentionally Alive
The visual foundation of Fun Scribble Arabic lies in its rough and inconsistent stroke construction. Stroke weights vary naturally, edges appear slightly textured, and individual forms feel drawn rather than engineered.
The dynamic structure of the Arabic glyphs reinforces this handmade quality. Characters connect fluidly while maintaining the visual unpredictability associated with genuine handwriting.
Creating this level of controlled irregularity in a connected script requires careful typographic engineering. Each connection must feel natural without sacrificing readability or proper script behavior.
The intentionally rough appearance ultimately creates a typeface that feels approachable, energetic, and human.
One of Fun Scribble Arabic's strongest practical advantages is its multilingual support. The font includes coverage for:
- Arabic
- Persian (Farsi)
- Urdu
- Kurdish
- Pegon
This broad language support makes Fun Scribble Arabic particularly valuable for multilingual creative projects that span multiple Arabic-script communities.
The font is available in both OTF and WOFF2 formats for print and digital environments.
