ان يرى الأطفال يلعبون ويضحكون، لكنه لم يشعر يوماً بذلك الفرح الذي يملأ قلوبهم. في إحدى الليالي، سمع سامر عن أسطورةٍ قديمة تتحدث عن “مدينة الفرح المخفية”، وهي مكانٌ سحري يمنح كل من يصل إليه سعادةً لا تنتهي.
قرر سامر أن يبدأ رحلته بحثاً عن تلك المدينة. عبر الغابات الكثيفة، وتسلق الجبال العالية، وواجه الرياح الباردة دون أن يستسلم. في طريقه، التقى بطائرٍ جريح، فتوقف ليعتني به حتى استطاع الطيران من جديد. كما ساعد عجوزاً على عبور النهر، وشارك طعامه مع طفلٍ فقير.
وبعد أيامٍ طويلة، وصل سامر إلى بابٍ ذهبي كبير في قلب الغابة. ظن أنه وجد المدينة، لكنه عندما فتح الباب، لم يجد شيئاً سوى مرآة كبيرة. اقترب منها، فرأى انعكاسه مبتسماً لأول مرة.
فجأة، ظهرت امرأة حكيمة وقالت له: “يا سامر، إن مدينة الفرح ليست مكاناً بعيداً، بل هي في قلبك. كل عملٍ طيبٍ قمت به في رحلتك هو ما صنع هذا الفرح.”
عاد سامر إلى قريته، لكنّه لم يعد ذلك الطفل الحزين. أصبح ينشر السعادة بين الناس، ويبتسم للحياة في كل لحظة. أدرك أخيراً أن الفرح الحقيقي لا يُبحث عنه في الأماكن البعيدة، بل يُخلق من خلال العطاء والمحبة.

He saw children playing and laughing, yet he had never truly felt the joy that filled their hearts. One night, Samer heard an old legend about the “Hidden City of Joy,” a magical place said to grant endless happiness to anyone who reached it.
Determined, Samer began his journey to find this city. He crossed dense forests, climbed high mountains, and faced cold winds without giving up. Along the way, he met an injured bird and stopped to care for it until it could fly again. He also helped an old man cross a river and shared his food with a poor child.
After many days, Samer finally arrived at a large golden door deep within the forest. He believed he had found the city. But when he opened the door, he found nothing except a large mirror. As he looked closer, he saw his own reflection—smiling for the first time.
Suddenly, a wise woman appeared and said, “Samer, the City of Joy is not a distant place—it lives within your heart. Every act of kindness you performed on your journey created this happiness.”
Samer returned to his village, no longer the sad boy he once was. He began spreading joy among others and smiled at life in every moment. He finally understood that true happiness is not found in distant places, but created through kindness and love.
